The Vollrath 55458 is Vollrath's InstaCut 5.1 manual food processor, otherwise known as a vegetable dicer or fruit dicer. The main feature of this dicer is that it has stainless steel serrated blades that require 50% less force to cut fruit or vegetables. The blade assembly can be easily removed and replaced with other compatible Vollrath slicing blades. Your purchase of the 55458 includes one (1) 3/8" die. All other blades are sold separately.

The leg base of this manual dicer is strong and made of cast aluminum. The overall dimensions (WDH) are 10.25" x 11.25" x 18.43". It's big enough to fit 1/6 size pans of up to 6" deep and third size pans of up to 4" deep. It comes with a pusher block that is extremely easy to use and a cleaning tool stowed in the pusher block assembly. Lastly, this manual fruit and veggie dicer comes with a 2 year warranty and is NSF approved.

This fruit and vegetable dicer, as the name implies, is meant for dicing and slicing onions, tomatoes, and peppers; and with the right blades, it can core and then dice apples, celery, lemons, limes, oranges, pears, peppers, tomatoes, etc. Cutting produce by hand takes time and effort. Any commercial kitchen, food truck, or concession stand that requires a lot of fresh ingredients and has limited space might want to consider getting one of these.
