The Cleveland SEL is a series of electric, floor model tilting skillets with a manual tilt mechanism and a square shape. It is completely made from 12 gauge, 304 stainless steel, and the cooking surface is fully guaranteed against warping. Additionally, the cooking surface is bead-blasted which makes it resist food sticking. The capacity of the SEL-30-T1 is 30 gallons, and the capacity of the SEL-40-T1 is 40 gallons.
The Cleveland SEL-15 has a thermostatically controlled temperature from 38° to 232° Celsius. It has a fast heat-up and a fast recovery time. It has an easy-to-turn manual hand tilt that is permanently enclosed in a lubricated gearbox.
A tilting skillet is great for large batch or a-la-carte cooking. Unlike cooking equipment that has one cooking surface, both the bottom and the sides of the braising pan heat. As a result, you get a fast and even cook.
